SWR3 is the pop music station of Sudwestrundfunk (SWR), the public broadcaster of southwestern Germany. Founded in 1975, it is one of the most popular radios in the country with a format of current hits and pop and rock classics. SWR3 is famous for its comedy festival and humorous morning shows. The station covers Baden-Wurttemberg and Rhineland-Palatinate from Stuttgart and is listened to well beyond its broadcast area.
